Update on User Interface – OpenLDAP integration

See link: [http://ec2-23-20-99-105.compute-1.amazonaws.com/providerregistry]

UN and PW: RHEA

Update – 2 weeks ago we showed UI but it was not connected.  Now the UI is connected to the LDAP data store.  On the main page, see Manage Providers and View Reports.  MP was there before.  We turned on Report functionality based on feedback from Liz and Richard. Don’t know what reports we will have yet.

If you hit “search” button all records show up.  So click on “Provider Search” - this allows you to search by name, district, etc. customize depending on needs.

We will put a notation on the “search” button that all records will appear if you simply click “search”

o    Category and cadre not populated yet.  We have “type” = paid public  sector

o    Posting facility: not populated because we don’t have the data yet

o    National IDs

o    We will add functionality to search by the insurance and unique id # for government employees

View Provider Page: Click on record and you will see the data we have on the provider.  This covers all (or almost all) requirements.  Allows for multiple posting.  We can use an algorithm for check digit.  Once we switch data store to OpenLDAP we will have “save” functionality.

*Is there consistent branding we need to incorporate?  Rhonwyn replied it is on her list.

*Dykki expressed security concerns putting real names and data on here.

Wayne updated everyone on status of production server.  Rhonwyn and Richard working to get Production Server (23 July).  Once we have that, we can load data into OpenLDAP.  Carl asked that in the meantime, don’t put live data in.  Wayne agrees - once that is available we will load live data

Update: working with the MoH and Liz to refine IHRIS data

Luke has been cleaning records, removing duplicates.  All have been removed. Liz did several validation exercises and believes records are accurate now.  There were some blanks and those have been filled in. Boniface is head of HR for MoH.  Data was entered at district hospital so there is a delay in getting the data to the district hospital.  People were asked by Boniface to complete the records.  Have several weeks to do this.  Support was offered if anyone has trouble.  Started running reports and now other users are interested in the data.  Each health center will go person by person to complete the data.  Across the country, should be getting substantially better.

Liz assumes CHW data will need to be entered into provider registry. Use NID as identifier and will load from spreadsheets. Carl asked if it is appropriate to include Boniface in discussions of what we are doing?   Liz responded: Yes.  Need to keep him in the loop.

Dykki asked if there is a good workflow in updating data?  Liz said: No, they need support on this.  They need to work this out.

Discussion: what data (if any) we should be loading into the OMRS sites from the Provider Registry?

Carl said we can make data available but need to know what data is wanted.  Data can be made available via XML or spreadsheets.  Liz said she didn’t understand why we would want to load people in who don’t actually work there.  Why not enter manually?  Is this worth the hassle of loading?

Wayne agrees with Liz.  Just need to store name and ID of provider, can enter this manually.

Next Steps

Dykki: keep moving towards next iteration; including access, polish UI, begin initial reports.

Liz: running reports not really important for September.  No immediate need.

Dykki:  might be nice to have 3-5 sample reports available to demonstrate functionality.  Example: list of facilities and # of health workers in each.  Send us your ideas on what reports might be useful and we will pick a few simple reports to prove functionality.  Reporting system is web based.

Action Items:

Luke

Reach out to Liz and Boniface re: report writing

Luke

Work with Liz, Richard, Boniface on SOW beyond iHRIS training for August trip

Carl

confirm needed changes / functionality working

Carl

Save, edit data, fields filled out, where to house live data

Luke and Carl

think about workflow for registry to communicate with iHRIS on updating data
