Updates:
  1. Client Registry activities - Shaun
    • SG - CR and SHR sync issue – We have finalized a strategy. There were some minor clarifications around transactions CR and SHR would be exchanging. Wayne and Odysseas were working on a one week timeline to clarifying those and start to implement coding tomorrow. Shaun needs to get an update from Odysseas and Wayne.
    • DR – Is the solution going to be a long term or short term strategy?
    • SG – Using long term strategy. Transactions might change, not implementing IHE notification specifications at this time. Interoperability layer is subscribing to messages and then communicating that as it must with the SHR. Will need to do some work to be IHE compliant with those notification messages. JSON format to communicate messages back and forth.
  2. Facility Registry activities - Ed
  3. Provider Registry activities - Carl Leitner
    • CL – Server gateway narrowed down to 2 options, ApacheDS (LDAP server with integrated DSML server inside of it) & OpenDJ (LDAP server with DSML gateway that exists more independently). Will implement on both of them and then see which is easiest to configure and meets our needs. Leaning towards OpenDJ but want to make sure with actual install.
    • DR – Primary authors on the HPD specification are open to evolving the spec to allow REST or SOAP interface. So if you come up with something we can take that back to them. Profile work to interlink registries is probably going to highly leverage HPD. So since working with HPD is in our near future collectively anything we learn about using HPD will serve us well.
    • CL – In November I believe HPD+ officially was approved as a profile. Any bearing on what we are doing?
    • DR – Send me an email about this and I will check on this.
    • CL – Will talk about architecture with HIM for validation on call next week when more folks from Jembi are on the call.
  4. MoH activities - Richard / Gilbert / Dawn
    • DS - RACI diagram with clear goals and responsibilities and did broader activities for Track 1 will get Richards approval and the share with the team
    • DS – Had M&E discussion with Caricia and Dennis. Need to make some decisions around indicators and then will share with the RHEA team.
    • DS - Starting infrastructure roll out. Back in December Jembi and ministry tested different power sockets and the layout from workflow, were computers in the proper rooms, were servers in the server racks, etc. Will be starting April 1st – 12th.
    • DS - Starting April 7th is Memorial Week in Rwanda and so people will be out of the office at different times that week so a schedule will be put out when schedules become clearer.
    • PB – In relation to laying out the ground work Chuck Pill (Pepfar Country Coordinator for Rwanda) will be helpful for the sustainability for the activities that go beyond the proof of concept district in Rwamagana. Keeping him up to date about the activities going on will be helpful with moving things forward.
    • DR – Computer management rolls and responsibilities at the clinics?
    • DS – Some clinics do have to move the computers every night to lock them up.
    • DR – I heard that a Chrome book can be purchased for $99 and Ubuntu can be installed on them as well.
    • DS – Tried using a smaller netbook out in the field and the smaller screen size squashed things and made them hard to read so will need to think about that.
    • PB – How will roll out proceed?
    • DS – Have heard from Rhunda and Musha that there is a problem with double entry, paper and electronic) so would like to have the clinics off of paper and only on electronic records over the next two months and have Rwamagana Health Center and Rwamagana District Hospital implement it as well.
    • DR – Not fitting in the workflow? Reach back into UI design?
    • DS – Each clinic has different workflow process, completing same steps but in different ways.
    • DR – At HIMSS we were asked if the UI was made smooth and consistent. So everyone can be trained the same and take that training with them from clinic to clinic.
    • DS – The system needs some small tweaks that are on the deployment issues list, which needs to be followed up on. An example would be like patient search.
    • SG – Roll out heard you are looking at the hospital and clinic moving forward in parallel with the other two sites?
    • DS – Yes it would be in parallel. Think there will have to be overlap but also have to keep in mind that there is a small team at the ministry for support. Currently working on JIRA training with the ministry team to log issues. Believe on next week’s call we should talk about roll out and the implications of it on the existing sites. Have been working with the Jembi team to find out what clinics have been asking for from a reporting area.
    • DR – Should piggy back M&E efforts.
    • PB – Sounds like big talking points are what things are being done with the paper forms that we could do electronically and what kind of reporting burden there may be in a given clinic and how that might relate to the work we are doing
    • PB – Do those who perform antenatal care have a space to talk to each other about the workflow and process?
    • DS –I will ask Michel, he would have a better sense of this than I do.
  5. Issues Recap and Updates
    1. Internet at Musha and Ruhunda - Dawn
      • DS - There was a request for payment. Accountant for ministry eHealth dept. is processing the payment; he will call Dawn when this is done. Then the payment will go to the internet company. Trying to figure out how long the down time will be from when the internet company gets payment to be back up and running.
    2. RapidSMS
      • DR – Problem outbound transactions gone out and received HTTP200 message back on infrastructure side no record in audit logs of inbound transmissions being received from RapidSMS. So where did 200 come from if received by RapidSMS? Where was the message put on HIM side?
      • PB – Should we get a couple technical RapidSMS team members on this call? They should be since they are a subcontractor
      • CL – Believe Evan Wheeler is working on this as well and is in Rwanda. Believe he helped with the start up. Will forward Dawn his contact
    1. Training
      • DS – Will send out an email about the training the ministry is looking for, refreshers training for each registry
      • PB - Ministry has assigned registry leads that we would like to have join these calls from time to time to give updates on what they are working on and how we can help. Would like to try to build a relationship with them.
